This will be a talk on the integration of the ascending and descending aspects of spiritual practice or the holding of both the sacred and ordinary, or the transcendent and the manifest together, mutually interacting and mutually benefiting each other.  The opposites have no need to fight each other or be compartmentalized.  Joshu has such a magnificent expression which always brings us back to this ordinary human moment is it.
