Berkeley Zen Center, Untangling Karma
February 3 @ 5:45 pm - 6:30 pm
5:45 PT, 7:45 CT, Zoom
This will be a talk on Judith’s new book UNTANGLING KARMA, INTIMATE ZEN STORIES ON HEALING TRAUMA.
This is Ragir’s story and approach to trauma that integrates deep spirituality with directly facing your pain. The book also examines the endeavor of transferring an Asian philosophy onto an American mind, and a male-inspired monastic model applied to an American woman, Jew, and mother. It is at once a love-letter to Zen Buddhism and a critique of turn of the century American Zen.
This talk will circle around unraveling our karma by deeply entering our narrative and finding the root cause of our conditioning. It will explore the establishment of a spiritual container to heal a traumatized emotional body by using an integration of many modalities. Judith will talk about integrating the ascending and descending aspects of spirituality to promote healing.
This talk is online on zoom.
