Untangling Karma

This will be the hometown, home sangha celebration of the book at Clouds in Water Zen Center which Judith helped create.  We are celebrating the opening of the Book Tour and publishing Judith’s first book, UNTANGLING KARMA, INTIMATE ZEN STORIES ON HEALING TRAUMA.

This is Ragir’s story and approach to trauma that integrates deep spirituality with directly facing your pain.  The book also examines the endeavor of transferring an Asian philosophy onto an American mind, and a male-inspired monastic model applied to an American woman, Jew, and mother.  It is at once a love-letter to Zen Buddhism and a critique of turn of the century American Zen.

This is a hybrid event.
