July 30 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
This is the first book talk for my new book UNTANGLING KARMA, INTIMATE ZEN STORIES ON HEALING TRAUMA.
This is Ragir’s story and approach to trauma that integrates deep spirituality with directly facing your pain. The book also examines the endeavor of transferring an Asian philosophy onto an American mind, and a male-inspired monastic model applied to an American woman, Jew, and mother. It is at once a love-letter to Zen Buddhism and a critique of turn of the century American Zen.
The talk will share how she integrated spirituality, psychotherapy and recovery work to find a measure of healing and peace in her life.
This talk is Live.
